When calling to schedule an appointment, please indicate special needs your child may have; for instance, if he or she is wearing orthodontic braces, or if he or she is in a wheelchair or if he or she is particularly anxious. These factors often require additional time, and advanced knowledge will help us in scheduling.
Since we only care for children, it is not possible to give everyone appointments in the late afternoon. We like to reserve these times for the older children. Children under age 6 are in a better frame of mind and feel better in the morning, especially for longer restorative procedures such as fillings, extractions and stainless steel crowns. The best time for these appointments is in the morning, not after school when your child is tired.
We prefer to see children requiring long appointment procedures in the morning. In this way, we can be fair to our many patients who require shorter procedures by offering them more available times in the afternoons when the school day is over.
The appointment time is reserved specifically for your child. It is greatly appreciated that you arrive on time for your child’s appointment so we can spend all the time with your child that he or she deserves. If you find you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance so we may reschedule your child at a convenient time and to enable us to fill this cancellation with another patient. Continued broken confirmed appointments will result in a charge being made for this reserved time.
